Scrollworks was created to make quality music education accessible, affordable, and manageable for families—especially those who don’t have access to traditional school band or orchestra programs.
We remove common barriers so more children can experience the joy, discipline, and confidence that come from making music.
Getting started in music shouldn’t require a large upfront investment or ongoing rental fees.
At Scrollworks, families don’t need to purchase an instrument or manage a separate rental agreement.
One-time program payment instead of monthly rentals
No pressure to commit to the wrong instrument too early
Less responsibility for parents to manage repairs and upkeep
Scrollworks covers most instrument maintenance at no extra cost
Everyday supplies like rosin and reeds are available at cost
This approach removes financial and logistical obstacles that often prevent families from starting music lessons.
Your child won’t just take lessons—they’ll make music with others.
Many homeschool and non-traditional students don’t have access to band or orchestra programs
Scrollworks offers orchestra and ensemble classes, building teamwork, confidence, and musical understanding
Students progress beyond strings and learn to play alongside wind instruments
Comparable private ensemble programs are often too expensive or limited in scope
Scrollworks provides meaningful group music experiences at a price families can realistically afford.
Our program is defined by the people who teach here.
Instructors choose Scrollworks because they believe in the mission
Teachers prioritize students, access, and growth over prestige
Families benefit from experienced, committed educators who truly care
Our strongest teachers intentionally choose Scrollworks because they value community and impact
Scrollworks makes music education simpler for parents and more meaningful for students—opening the door for more children to discover their musical potential.
From our community:
“We were both fortunate to grow up with strong music experiences, and music has remained a source of joy throughout our lives. Scrollworks makes it possible for today’s students to explore instruments, learn strong musical foundations, and discover the genres they love—regardless of a family’s financial situation. We support Scrollworks because it gives more children the opportunity to experience the lifelong benefits of music.”

After a career spanning 38 years of teaching music in the public school system, I retired in 2016. I still teach, adjunct at several public schools in the area. I also teach at Scrollworks. I have taught at Scrollworks for ten years now and have enjoyed the experience. The students are all eager to learn and the staff has been great to work with. The staff work so cohesively and we have common goals and that is to teach music. We try to make it one of the best and safest learning environments that a student can experience. Hopefully we can instill the love for music into your child that will last a lifetime.
