Schedule
Orchestra will meet from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. The rest of the teaching day, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will include 30-minute lessons and/or 60-minute group classes, depending on enrollment. We will do our best to make each family’s schedule work smoothly. Please mention any potential scheduling conflicts, such as sports or other summer activities, in the comments section of the registration form.
Orchestra and Instrument Instruction
Students who participated in orchestra during Spring 2026 may continue in our summer orchestra. Students who are new to orchestra should contact Sara Peacock to arrange an audition. Orchestra members may also receive instruction on their instrument. If a student is taking private lessons outside Scrollworks, please indicate that on the registration form. In that case, we will need a written recommendation from the student’s teacher.
Chamber Strings
A chamber strings ensemble will be offered during the July session. Intermediate string students are encouraged to participate. There is no additional fee.
Electives
Electives are offered in addition to ensembles and instrument instruction. Summer electives will include beginning rhythm, beginning conducting, and beginning composing/arranging. Electives are $15 for 3 days or $25 for all six days.
Registration
Summer registration will open on May 15 and close on June 2.
A link to the registration form will be posted here when it is ready.
Individual schedules will be emailed before June 6.
