Fall 2024
Fall 2024 registration is FINALLY open!
This is a lot of words. Our program is complex and flexible, which makes it wonderful--but hard to explain. I hope you'll read it--at least the parts that apply to your situation. Don't hesitate to ask questions using one of the many email links on this page.
New since the August 3 drop-in lessons/registration:
We will have Voice lessons available on Saturdays, Choir (age 8+) on Saturdays, Recorder Karate (age 7+) on both Mondays and Saturdays.
And we'll be offering a Jazz Theory class for students in Book 2 or above for their instrument. Participants in this class will be expected to register for the associated Jazz Ensemble to be offered in Spring 2025. Cost of this 30 min theory class is $40.
We may also be offering a ukulele class on Saturdays this semester. Please check the box on the form if you'd be interested if we can make this happen. (We have ukuleles to loan.) Cost of the 30 min class (includes loan of a ukulele) $40.
If you submitted a registration form already and want to add one of the above, you can change your submission through a link in the confirmation email. Or you can email me (Ms. Goforth).
This fall Scrollworks is offering private lessons, group instruction and ensembles for orchestral instruments (winds, strings and percussion), voice, piano and guitar to children ages 6 to 18, including students with disabilities.
All classes, lessons and ensembles will be in-person at St. Paul UMC on either Monday evenings (between 4 pm and 8 pm) or on Saturdays (between 9 am and 3 pm). Returning students who have been taking online lessons for violin and cello may continue.
Our fall program consists of 12 classes/lessons, a mid-semester jury day, a final performance weekend with an all-day recital camp followed by a formal Solo Recital and a formal Concert for the group classes and ensembles.
Most group classes, ensembles and orchestra are 60 minutes.
Private lessons, instrument explorer, recorder, music/jazz theory, and the premier recorder ensemble are 30 minutes.
We are planning to serve a free lunch at noon on most teaching Saturdays for our families, staff and church members. This will depend on the availability of the fellowship hall during renovations. We will let you know the lunch menu in our weekly 'parent update' email (Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or if you would like to help serve or to donate food, paper goods or drinks.)
The semester calendar is on the home page.

Please do not register if you know your child will miss more than 2 lesson days.
